Dora DATWILER

May 3, 2006

DATWILER - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dora Datwiler on May 3, 2006 one month after blowing out the candles on her ninetieth birthday cake. Dora was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1984. She is survived by her daughter Lynda (David), granddaughters Teresa (Adam) and Diane (Scott) and her great-grandson Gabriel. Sisters; Kath, Joan (Charlie), Pat (Arnie), Barb and Ros and many nieces and nephews. Dora served as a cook in the Royal Canadian Air Force for three years. In 1943 Dora married Henry, a colorful character who many Murrayville residents will never forget. In 1947 they worked hard together to follow their dream of opening a general store and cafe. This evolved over the years into Datwiler's Mobile Home Park and Campground. Dora loved to cook, bake, garden, knit and spend time with her family. Dora is now in the arms of her Lord and shaking her head, once again, at the antics of her beloved husband Henry! A family service was held in celebration of Dora's life. Our family would like to thank all of the staff at Magnolia Gardens for all of their care and compassion that helped ensure Dora's quality of life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
