APPLEBY, Earl Raymond (Ray) 69,

passed away April 30, 2003 at Langley Memorial Hosptial after a short, courageous battle with cancer.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Kathy, daughter Pat (Rod) Appleby, Hope, B.C., and two sons Gary (Elaine) Redden, Kempt Shore, N.S., and Tony (Diana) Redden, Langley, B.C., seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Predeceased by his father Earl Thomas Appleby, he leaves behind his mother Beatrice Gertrude Appleby, Shubenacadie, N.S., sisters Betty (Vic) Aalders, Mary (Ralph) Williams, Delores (Bud) Given, Wanda (John) North, Donna (Stanley) Holman, Brenda Appleby, all of N.S. and Elaine (Roy) Barrett, Adelaide (Lawrence) Shumyla, and brother Richard (Doreen) Appleby of B.C.

After spending 36 years in B.C. Ray, a semi-retired pipe fitter/mechanic had planned to move with Kathy to Economy, N.S. to enjoy his retirement years.

No service by request. A celebration of Ray's life will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the S.P.C.A. 604-879-6688 would be appreciated.
