Elvin Perry Mcmann

December 31, 1931 - August 18, 2019
Elvin Perry McMann passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on August 18, 2019 at Royal Columbian Hospital, New Westminster, BC, at age 87.
Born in Provost, Alberta, raised in Alberta and BC, Elvin lived a life of service in many capacities. He served many years as a teacher, administrator, lay pastor, and any other jobs that came up. A tireless volunteer that served in leadership for The Nootka Mission, The Gideon's, his church congregations in Gold River and Shawnigan Lake, Arbutus Ridge and Harrison Pointe. Elvin was most happy working in his garden, preparing a Bible study, singing in a choir or helping others in need. His unwavering faith and love of Jesus Christ shone bright.
Elvin is predeceased by his parents, Perry and Ivy, his infant son, Daniel and his loving wife of 55 years, Helena. He will be deeply missed by his children: Yvonne (Chris), Dave (Gaye), Tim (Judy), Marie (Dave) and Keith (Michele). Elvin will be remembered through his 15 grandchildren and 8 (& counting) great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Evelyn (Charles), Eleanor, Ella Mae (Harvey), Eldon (Catherine) and Everett (Barb) and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Aug 27, 2019 at 10 am at Valley View Chapel, Valley View Funeral Home, 14660-72nd Ave, Surrey, BC.
An Internment service will be held in September at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, 2347 Cedar Rd, Cedar B.C., on Vancouver Island. Details to follow.
