On the evening of October 4, 2020, Ersilio Giuseppe Stoppa, went home to Jesus in the loving arms of his wife and surrounded by family. He was a unique, one-of-a-kind, animated and generous man.
Ersilio was born in Latina, Italy. He immigrated to Canada at the age of 20 where he met and married his bride, Sheila Musclow. They were married for 57 years and have four daughters, Marina, Michele, Melisa and Mandy.
Ersilio, or lovingly referred to by his family as Uallio (pronounced Wallio), had a love for soccer and bocce but family was always first. He was a great conversationalist, loved to be around people, and had a wonderful sense of humour.
Ersilio is survived by his wife Sheila, their four daughters, Marina (Rick), Michele (Lawson), Melisa (Patrick) and Mandy (David), their six grandsons, Jordan, Noah, Tyler, Matthew, Joshua and Sam, as well as his family in Italy - sisters Liliana, Gianna and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed but we look forward to the day when we will all be reunited in Heaven.
We will be having an intimate family funeral to lay him to rest and celebrate his life and legacy.
