SHERWIN: Florence Kathryn Age 87 years, passed away on December 27, 2004 in Langley. Predeceased by her infant son, Clarence in 1941 and her husband Joshua (Jay) in 1976, she is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Maxine of Penticton, son Reginald and his wife Darlene of Aldergrove; her grandchildren Donna (Lyle), Cathi (Andrew) and Matthew; her great-grandchildren Mackena and Julian and several nieces and nephews and their families. Flo was a kind and caring lady with a merry sense of humor. She cherished her family and enjoyed time with her friends at their daily "coffees". Proud of her independence, Flo lived simply and capably in her own apartment until last Fall. She was fond of the caregivers who assisted her as health issues arose. A small service to celebrate Flo's life was held at First Memorial Funeral Services in Aldergrove on December 31, 2004. Family and friends from the Island, Mainland and the Okanagan attended. Tributes and kindnesses from those farther away were gratefully received. A special thanks to Reverend Ken Dean for his thoughtful words and to Dr. May Chin for her years of support.
