March 30, 1933 - December 10, 2019
George was born in Davidson, Sask to Fred and Maria (Lueck) Kochendorfer, the 2nd youngest of 10 children. At 21 he moved to Calgary and married his love, Ruth, where they built a life centred around their church.
He worked at Singer/Friden Business Machines and in the '70's George went into real estate. His confidence, humour and honesty resulted in many industry awards, including Calgary's
top realtor in 1977.
George loved gospel music and played bass in groups throughout his life. He was a joker and had a great sense of humor. He never went anywhere without his "diamond clip" which was a paper clip attached to a dime.
Family time was important and his 3 daughters grew up with motorhome trips, snowmobiling, summers at the cottage and Spring Break in Waikiki. He was a kind man who considered the family cats and dogs members of the family.
George and Ruth retired to Langley, BC and spent time in Arizona. He cherished his time with his family and is survived by his wife Ruth, daughters Terri (Gordon), Jill (Stephen), Gayle (Howard), grandchildren; Lindsay, Rachel and Michael, brothers Carl and Lyle, and many nieces and nephews.
His faith in God was a strong and constant thread in his life. He was a loving husband, a committed father and a faithful friend.
A service will be held late in January. If desired a donation to Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation can be made.
