October 1, 1967 - June 14, 2020
It is with heavy hearts, the family of Gregory (Greg) Nicol Henderson announce his passing after a valiant battle with cancer. Greg was born in Richmond on October 1, 1967 and died peacefully at home in Abbotsford on June 14, 2020.
Greg is survived by his partner Brenda, parents Nick and Joyce, daughters Brittney (Christopher), Samantha and Gina, stepdaughter Sarah, granddaughter Ava, sisters Sandra (John) Frank and Lauren (Peter) Thiele, and many other extended family and friends.
Greg walked in many circles from Lochiel Elementary school to graduating from D.W. Poppy Secondary School in 1986, Langley Minor Hockey and 4H. Into adulthood, he began his career for the Langley Concrete Group in 1987.
Greg was passionate about coaching his daughters in the Abbotsford Soccer Association from 2005-2018.
His hobbies included anything on wheels: from bike rides or dirt biking with his daughters to thinking about the next project on one of his Mustangs or the '69 Fairlane. Greg found peace with being surrounded by open air - He felt at home at the lake, beach or river, but most often enjoyed his own backyard.
Greg will forever be remembered for his comical personality, contagious laugh and helping hand. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, Greg requested to have donations made to the Canuck Place Children's Hospice- Dave Lede House in Abbotsford, BC.
A Celebration of Life for Greg will be announced for a better suited time in the future.
