May 14, 1920 - July 1, 2020
Our Dear Dad is in the loving arms of his Saviour, Jesus Christ after passing peacefully July 1, 2020 at Langley Lodge.
Born May 14, 1920 in Ashmont, Alberta. Predeceased by his parents W. James and Florence Wickins, brothers Don and John, sister Elsie, son Brian and his loving wife of 75 years, Dorothy. Jim is survived by his daughters Judy (Terry), Phyllis (Bill), son Brad (Patti), 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Jim served in the Canadian Army's anti aircraft regiment. While training in B.C. he met his wife Dorothy, married in Edmonton and returned to B.C. to start a dairy and broiler farm in Langley and raise 3 children. He also worked for Napier's poultry farm and Gibson's/Fraser Valley Livestock Auctions.
In retirement Jim's love of farming and gardening continued but on a smaller scale. He spent time fishing, watching sports, especially hockey and baseball, and playing his guitar and harmonica while Dorothy played the piano. He was always there to lend his family a hand with handyman projects.
Jim will always be remembered as a humble, caring, thankful person with a sense of humour, love of nature and one who could fix anything. His family meant the world to him.
Celebration at a later date. Condolences www.wiebeandjeskefh.com
