Jim's family sadly announces his sudden passing at his home at the age of 78. He will be missed by his daughters Michelle Murray (Paul), Sylvia Finlay (Doug), ex-wives Muriel, Shannon.
Jim was loved by his Grandchildren Dan Murray (Abby), Andrea Murray (Derek Carlyle), Chantelle Murray, Daryl Finlay, Elona Finlay (Peter Love), Janine Finlay. Dear brother of Michael Martino (Katherine), brother-in- laws, sister-in-laws, Bill & Donna Herman, John & Pat Stewart, Kevin & Debra Ford, predeceased by parents Michael (Mickey) & Olive Martino (Borman), brother Philip Martino (Anne).
He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, their families and Martino and Stewart relatives scattered near and far.
Jim was born in Hamilton, grew up in Montreal before moving to Dundas where his family was instrumental in bringing Little League to Dundas. Moved to B.C. in 1998. A lifelong sportsman he played baseball, hockey in later years was a champion golfer. He enjoyed his many years as a landscape gardener. A great raconteur he had charm and a story for any occasion and is no doubt apologizing for his abrupt departure.
Resting at Henderson's Funeral Home, Langley B.C. Cremation, no service by request a celebration of life will be held at his favourite Milltown Pub in Vancouver and in August in Ontario.
