MCEACHERN; James Douglas,
August 27, 1950 - September 12, 2005. After a long brave battle with cancer, Jim passed away with his
loving wife, Debbie (who he has known since elementary school), his son
Jeremy (Michelle) and grandson
Cayden, son Kevin (Chrissy), and his son Trevor by his bedside at the family home. He is survived by his mother and father, Gladys and Art McEachern, sister Marlene Johnson (Steinar),
sister Cathy Reichelt (Bill), mother and father in-law, Ruth and Lloyd Parry, brother-in-law, David Parry (Melanie), and sister-in-law Vicki Cwihun.
Jim was known as the Gentle Giant at the Langley School Board where he had worked for 31 years. He will be
remembered for his kick ass smile and his sense of humour. He will be missed by many. Our heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kenneth NG and his compassionate staff. Also thank you to the nurses with Langley Home Health. Also, a special thank you to the home care workers at Fraser Valley Home Support who looked after Jim at home. All of them did a loving and caring job. Jim's wish was for donations to be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation in lieu of
flowers. A Memorial Service will be held at Langley Secondary School, 21405-56 Ave, Langley, on September 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m.
