September 7, 1929 - March 30, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce Lennie's passing at age 89 years. Lovingly remembered by her husband Stan of 69 years, her children Sandy (Nick), Janis (Wayne), Keith, Evelyn (Vern) and Gail (Tom), grandchildren Brandon, Chelsea, Amanda, Rory, Stanley, Cheyenne, Luke, Amy, and great grandchildren Olivia, Abigail, Jordyn, and Edward. Also survived by brothers Alfred and Harold, and sister Helen. Predeceased by infant son Gordon, sisters Rosie, Emily and brothers Art and Henry.

Lennie was born in Glentworth Saskatchewan, where the family farmed wheat until moving to Abbotsford at her age 7. Lennie excelled at school until Grade 10 when she left to help her parents on the Abbotsford farm, later moving in with her cousin and taking her first job as a BC Tel operator.

Lennie met Stan and they were married in Vancouver in 1949. Through the years, Lennie's journey included raising five children, and helping Stan build and design five custom homes for the family. Lennie and Stan enjoyed participating in square dancing, badminton, camping, and travelling. This included trips to Alaska, Hawaii, the UK, and the Panama. In later years, Lennie was active in ACW with St. George's Anglican Church. With a number of health concerns in recent times, Lennie, our wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother is now at rest.

Thank you to Dr. Bacchus, Dr. Mroczek, the staff at Langley Memorial, and her primary caregiver Ruth.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Society of BC.

We invite family and friends to a Remembrance of Lennie, at St George's Anglican Church, 9160 Church, Fort Langley Saturday April 6th, 2:00 pm. A Tea will follow. A private interment for the immediate family will occur prior.
