DAVIS, Lorne Valentine - it is with great Sadness that we announce that Lorne Davis passed away peacefully April 20, 2008 in Fort Langley with his family by his side. Lorne was a 32 year veteran with the Vancouver Fire Department and a World War II veteran (Dieppe). He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Yvonne; son William (Janice); daughter Cathy (Rolf) Reither; grandchildren Devin, Corinne, Kimberly and Trevor; sister Elanor Lewis and other family members and friends. The family would like to thank all the staff at Simpson Manor for the gentle, loving, compassionate care they gave to Lorne and to thank the exceptional ambulance drivers who transported him back and forth. There will be a gathering to celebrate his life Thursday, June 5, 2008, which would have been Lorne and Yvonne's 50th wedding anniversary. Contact Cathy at 604-888-4747 for details.
