Lorraine SWEET

December 27, 2004

SWEET: Lorraine, or as she was affectionately called ''Ma'', ''Granny'' and ''Nanny'' has joined her husband Edgar Ronald Sweet. They are together again.

Mom worked hard all her life as a mill worker. She enjoyed simple pleasures, eating out and golfing with Dad. After Dad passed away, Ma moved in eith me, because as she said ''there is a lot of action here''. From that day forward he helped run the hotel, quietly looking after the needs of others. That was really the essence of Lorraine Sweet, or as she liked to call herself ''Sweet Lorraine''. To keep fit you could see her walking up the road four and five times a day, not just for exercise, but also to get herself a bowl of her favorite chicken noodle soup.

Ma was the victim of a hit and run and the last three months of her life were spent in hospital, fighting to come back home. Sharon, Wally & family extend a special thank you to all the friends that have supported us and ''Ma'' in the past 3 months. It has meant a lot.

To remember her life, a gathering of family and friends will be held at Murray, Langley on Saturday, January 22. Please phone us . Instead of flowers in memory of Lorraine, we request donations to the Canadian Red Cross Society/Tsunami Relief Fund.

Your condolences will be approved within one business day. You will need a valid Facebook account. Please email us if you have any questions.
