It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Robin, beloved and devoted wife, mother, soulmate and friend of all she knew, after her courageous battle with cancer at the age of 61. She passed peacefully with family at her side.
She is survived by her beloved husband Garry, son Mitchell, daughter Devon, mother Doreen Glanfield, father Chester Marek (Donna), brother Garry Marek (Joanne), sister Melanie Quaife of Rimbey, sister Sharon LeLacheur (Ken) of Edmonton and many nieces and nephews.
She was born and raised in Rimbey Alberta. She travelled to Europe after high school before college in Calgary. Moved to Vancouver in 1979 where she met her husband of 36 years and then raised their family in Langley. She loved the outdoors and travelling. She was a member of the local Scout group which allowed to her to have many adventures with her children, camping across Canada at various jamborees. She loved being outside in nature; loved taking care of her beautiful flower gardens. She loved sea kayaking with her daughter and went on several adventures throughout the world. Robin enjoyed her years as a member of the Red Hatters Society. Her nickname within the society was Princess Petal Picker due to her love for flowers and gardening.
One of Robin's greatest accomplishments was raising a family. She was very proud of her two children and loved them very much. Robin was a caring soul and the world is a little less bright without her.
Gone forever, forever remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 6, 2019 at 2pm at the Langley Seniors Resource Center 20605 51B Avenue, Langley.
