It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa, Maurice Rupert Weatherly.
Maurice was predeceased by his father and mother Josiah and Johanna Weatherly, his three brothers Dennis, Michael and Norman and his first wife Helen.
He is deeply missed by his wife Sharon, his step daughters Debbie (Len), Connie (Mike), and Jean (Grant). Grandchildren Jennifer (Kevin), Steven (April), Jaclyn, Emellia, Kayti (Mike), Ashley (Will), Wesley (Tessa), Matthew and great grandchildren Hope, Julian, Korbin, Ryan and Avery. Also missed by his many nephews, niece and other family members.
Maurice was born on February 17th, 1926 in Giscome, British Columbia to Johanna and Josiah Weatherly. Maurice served in the Canadian Military from 1944 until May 4th, 1946. Maurice was a 60 year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers (Local 115).
He was employed as a heavy duty mechanic and welder on many of the large construction sights locally and in Northern British Columbia. He was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 06, he was also a past member of the Masonic Lodge Eureka Lodge No. 103 and Langley Lodge.
Afternoon tea will be held at the Garden Terrace Club House, 8889 212th Street, Langley BC at 1 pm on January 6th, 2018.
