Menna CAMERON

July 3, 2004

CAMERON: Menna. Born April 12, 1917 in Penrhyndeudraeth, Whales; moved peacefully on from Langley July 3, 2004. Predeceased by her dear husband Delbert (a.k.a Snooky), sister Ann and brother Dennis, Ivor and jack. She was mom to Gwyneth (a.k.a Kim) Whittaker and Cindy Cleggett (Fred Guay). She also was Grammy to Owen & Averyl Whittaker and sister to Jenny (Larry) of Kamloops. She will be sadley missed by many other relatives and friends. Menna was a founding member of the Surrey Hospice Society and Living With Cancer. She taught Kindergarden in N. Delta in the 1970's. She was a dedicated homemaker, famous for her pickles, sewing & knitting. Menna faced much adversity in her 87 years and handled all with strength, dignity and grace. The family thanks the nurses and the community support workers who cared for Mom at home in her last year. Thank you also to the staff of LMH Emergency and 4 South for their gentle and sensative care. We sincerely appreciate the loving kindness and compassionate stewardship of John Whittaker and Annmarie Driediger as they journeyed with Mom, and comforted her in her final moments. A celebration of Menna's life will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, 9160 Church St., Ft. Langley on Sat. July 10 at 1 p.m. Tea to follow in the Church hall. This gathering will be enfolded by God's love and guided by the Rev. Pam Worthington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Langley Hospice Society or Living With Cancer will be greatley appreciated. Interment of ashes to follow at Victory Memorial Park. Be happy & peaceful Mom; until our next cup of tea together. We love you.
