HORRILL: Peacefully on Sunday, June 27, 2010, Morris E. Horrill passed away into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, at the age of 85 years, with his loving and devoted wife Lena at his side, in the Langley General Hospital Hospice residence. Morris was predeceased by his parents, Ernie and Tina Horrill, brother, Ray and sister Phyllis Bowlin and brother in law Cecil. Survived by Lena his wife of almost 65 years, one son Brent and his wife Lynne of Winnipeg, and a daughter, Carol Boyd and her husband Terry of Nanaimo, B.C. his sisters, Helen and Dorothy Horrill of Victoria, B.C. brother, Lyle and wife Irene of Kelowna ,B.C. He also leaves his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Chad Horrill and wife Tara ( Callie ), Jaimie Horrill, Grant Boyd and wife Heather ( Colin and Wesley ), Scott Boyd and wife Katie ( Megan ) and Paul Boyd and wife Amanda ( Matthew and Nathan ). Also survived by his sister in law Fern Horrill of Arizona and numerous nephews and nieces. Morris was born in Roblin Municipal District, near Cartwright, Manitoba. He served in the R.C.A.F. in England during the Second WW from 1942 until 1946. Upon returning to Canada he worked in the paper mill in Fort Frances, Ont. and then moved to Selkirk, Man., and worked at the Manitoba Rolling Mills before moving to New Westminster to work with the City until retiring in 1989 when they moved to Walnut Grove in Langley to enjoy their retirement. A Service of Remembrance will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 3, 2010 from the Victory Memorial Park Funeral Home, 14831-28th Ave., Surrey, B.C. with Rev. Ed Austin officiating. Cremation will take place. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made in Morris's memory to the charity of your choice.
