SIBSON, Norman Robert

December 3, 1927

— May 23, 2009

Norman passed away peacefully in his sleep following several years in extended care at Langley Gardens. He is predeceased by his brother Frank, sister Thelma and parents. Survived by his wife of 54 years Hazel. He will be greatly missed by daughter Lindsey Gri (Joe) and son Robert (Michele) and grandchildren Matthew, Rhianne, Nicholas, Kaileen, Kristiana, Alexandra and brother Bruce. A Kitsilano boy, who built his 1st of many boats at 14 years of age and was very involved in the power boating community of Vancouver. He resided in North Vancouver for 46 years prior to his move to Langley in 2003. He was a machinist by trade and spent the majority of his career at Elworthy Electrical and then had his own business, Sibson Machining, for 8 years. He was a man who was a friend to all and a “jack of all trades.” He loved life, boating and especially his fishing at his special place at Secret Cove.

All family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Norm’s life and career to be held Saturday, June 6, 2009, 2 pm at daughter Lindsey’s home, 9296 —212 A. St., Langley.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Society or BCIT Foundation for Scholarship to Machinist students — “In Memory of Norman Sibson”, 3700 Willingdon Ave., Bby, B.C. V5G 3H2
