Peter Wilding Davies
April 19, 1936 - April 5, 2009
Peter Theron Hornby Wilding - Davies passed away in Langley, BC on April 5th,2009. Born in Nantwich Cheshire, England on April 19th, 1936, Peter Wilding Davies graduated from Pangbourne Nautical College. Early in Peter's working career he was Captain of several ocean vessels. He married his wife Michelle in 1966 and immigrated to Canada. In Vancouver Peter worked in the ocean shipping industry before he moved to Langley. Once in Langley, he moved from the high seas to the highways and finished his working career as an owner operator in the dump truck industry.
Peter enjoyed his farm in Langley. Peter was a major contributor to the horse community, as he travelled the country judging combined driving events. In 2002 Peter received the Official of the Year award from BC Horse Council for his efforts.
Peter will be sorely missed by his loving wife of 43 years Michelle and his cherished children David (Amy) and Emma (Dave). Peter leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Max, Olivia, Kate, Matthew and Rachel as well as his adored sister Anne (Claude).
