Raymond Roy Sampson

October 15,1924- January 18, 2009

It is with great sorrow the family announces the passing of our husband, father and papa. Ray passed away at home on January 18, 2009 surrounded by those he loved.

Ray was born October 15, 1924 in Edmonton to Roy and Mable Sampson. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Marjorie, sons Tommy (Beatrice) Donald and daughter Nancy. Ray was a proud and devoted papa to his 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Ray was a sports lover watching almost any sport. He loved to go to his grandchildren's sporting events to cheer them on. Ray was someone you could always count on for support or just to lend a hand. He was a thoughtful and quiet man who went out of his way to do kind things for others.

Ray served in the Royal Canadian Navy in WW11 on the HMSC Quinte. Ray will be sadly missed , but fondly remembered by his family and everyone who knew him. No service by request. Special thanks to the 2nd Floor South staff at LMH, many wonderful palliative staff, Langley Hospice and DVA for their support. No flowers please, instead donations can be made to Langley Hospice Society 20088-40A Avenue, Langley, BC V3A 2Y6
