Reverend S. Roy. G. HALL Sr

Reverend S. Roy. G. HALL Sr. was born in Toronto, Ontario on December 8, 1915 and passed away on Friday August 11, 2006 at the age of 90, during hip surgery. Roy was a wonderful man and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Roy lived in Fort Langley for the last 31 years and most recently at Simpson Hospital in Fort Langley, where he had such wonderful love and care from the staff. During World War II, Roy was in the Royal Canadian Air force and was commissioned as a Pilot Officer. Roy went on to be a Minister of the Church of the Nazarene and pastored churches at St. Thomas, Toronto Bethel, Ottawa, while in Ontario and Guildford, Langley and Maple Ridge in B.C. In his later years, Roy spent time challenging people at a game of scrabble, he loved to watch the Blue Jays baseball and kept a score card, and watching hockey, but his favorite past times were witnessing to anyone he talked to about his love for His Saviour, going to church, and spending time with his family and dear friends. Roy is survived by his wife Bessie of 67 years and his children: Betty (Glynn), Victoria (Elmer), Roy (Joan), and Sharon (Bob). And his Grandchildren: David (Wendy), Elizabeth, Stephen (Stephanie), Alison (Chris), Catherine, Meredith, Crystal (Jess), Royce, Kristina, Robbie, Rachaelle. And his Great Grandchildren: Joshua, Christian, Ava, Tyson, Clarissa, Edwin and Connor. A Celebration service of Roy's life will be held at the Guildford Church of the Nazarene 9012 - 160th Street, Surrey at 1:00 PM Friday August 18, 2006. Reception to follow.
