PALMER, Robert Thomas

March 5, 1948 - June 18, 2016

Bob passed peacefully surrounded by the three people he loved most in this world, his wife Kathleen, their daughter Jessica and their son Kirk.

Bob was born in Kamloops and is predeceased by this parents Bill and Marjorie and sister Sheena. Survived by a brother & sister, nieces, nephews, uncle & cousins and extended family and friends.

Bob was hired as a pilot by CP Air in 1973, operating aircraft such as the DC8, 727, 737 and DC10.

Bob and Kathleen were married in 1980, Jessica was born in 1984 and Kirk in 1986. In the winter of 1986 we purchased a heritage house and property in Fort Langley in a complete state of disrepair. Through hard work and dedication we transformed our acreage into a thriving blueberry business known as Carriage House Farm.

In later years Bob spent countless hours in his workshop with Kirk building an airplane which took flight in 2011. Bob was a loving husband an incredible father, innovative, intelligent and a kind hearted man who will be sorely missed by everyone especially his family.

We would like to thank the medical staff at Surrey Memorial Hospital, especially Dr. Rob McDermid, Gregoria in ICU and Amar in HAU. In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation to the BC Cancer Foundation or the Heart and Stroke foundation of BC.

Memorial service Sunday, June 26th at 1300 hours at 22822 88th Ave, Fort Langley V1M 2S3. To be held outside on the farm, dress casually.
