May 2, 1932 - January 3, 2019
Bob passed away surrounded by family, after a lengthy illness. He was predeceased in December by his brother Al. Bob was born and raised in Vancouver, where the Jacoby family has been well known in the jewellery business for over a century. Bob and Carole settled and raised a family in North Vancouver, where Bob was very active in the community and local politics, including a term as a school trustee. He remained active in the jewellery industry until his retirement in 2002. Bob was a lifelong Liberal and an avid Red Sox fan. He also loved his many dogs and was often seen out and about with his "black beauty".

Bob was a true gentleman with a way of impacting others. He will be remembered for his kind and friendly nature, his generosity, and his love and loyalty for his family and friends (and the Red Sox).

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carole, his sons Tom (Bonnie) and Rob (Jen), nephews David (Mary-Lynn) and Jay (Marni), honorary nephew Roland (Sheila), grandchildren Caity (Chelsea), Devon, Josie and Trevor, and many friends and relatives.

The family would like to thank the staff at Fort Langley Care Center Community (Simpson Manor) who cared for him over the last year.

The memorial service for Bob will be held at 2 pm on Saturday April 6, 2019, at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, 20955 Old Yale Road, Langley, BC. All are welcome in joining us in honouring his life.

Reception in the Church Hall will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's name to the Parkinson Society.
