Robert TRICKETT

TRICKETT, ROBERT; Bob Trickett passed away peacefully at Hospice House, Vernon, BC on January 1, 2005 at the age of 65 years. Bob was predeceased by his mother, Peggy Parsons and father Fred Trickett. Bobby will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Judy of 42 years, daughter Tracey (Gordy) Vriesinga and his most precious grandson Kyle. He is also survived by his brother Ron (Barb) Trickett, sister-in-law Beverly (Mon) Verheyen, nieces; Janny (Russ) Mills, Karen (Cam) Trickett, Lynne (Jens) Larson, Valerie (Andre) Meesschaert and Stephanie (Chris) Verheyen-Kuntz; nephew David (DeDe) Trickett; great nieces and nephews, Bradley, Nicole and Stephanie Mills; Blaire Larson, Pearl Boone and Chay Trickett; Harrison, Ben and Adam Meesschaert; Leo and Zoe Verheyen-Kuntz.

Bob was born on October 19, 1939 in Victoria, BC where he lived until his early twenty's. His teenage years were spent as an avid horseman and competitor.

After Bob's marriage to Judy in 1962 they became involved with the Sports Car Club of BC taking up his love of car racing. He raced a TR3 and Morgan before moving onto Formula V's.

In 1965 Bob and Judy moved to the Lower Mainland area where Bob began his career as a Line Haul Highway Driver both as an owner operator and company driver until his last run in August of 2004.

Bob will be fondly remembered for his generosity and total commitment with his involvement in daughter Tracey's activities starting with the Sun God Figure Skating Club to the BC Quarter Horse Association and finally participating in both the Cloverdale Rodeo and Miss Rodeo Canada Committees.

Bob and Judy moved to Vernon in 1994 where his greatest enjoyment was spending time with grandson Kyle watching him play hockey, taking him on hikes, road trips and watching the races at Sun Valley Speedway. Bob also enjoyed making various fun playground equipment for Kyle to enjoy.

Bob was a very caring, giving, generous and hard working man throughout his life. He will be extremely missed by all his family and friends. A "Celebration of Life" will be held at the Coldstream Women's Institute 9909 Kal Lake Road in Vernon on January 8, 2005, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to make a donation in Bob's name to the Vernon Hospice House.
