Mar 5, 1925 - Mar 11, 2018
Shirley Patriquin passed away on March 11, 2018 at the age of 93 in the Langley Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Ponoka, Alberta on March 5, 1925 to Leroy and Vera (Holmes) Webster and was the second youngest of eight children (three sisters and four brothers) who all predeceased her.

She is survived by three sons, Norman, Wayne and Larry and two granddaughters, Shalleena and Nichole, one grandson, Jayson, and three great-grandchildren, Jaden, Dante, and Omari all of whom are living in the lower mainland, and one sister-in-law, Lillian Matthews in Edmonton Alberta.

Shirley served in WWII in the Women's Army Corp driving army trucks and jeeps.  She worked on the switchboards at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta and in the Vancouver General Hospital.  She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was a loving, kind and generous person who would help anyone who needed a ride. Shirley loved genealogy and traced her family tree all across Canada, the United States and into Great Britain. She travelled with two of her sisters to England to visit the places of her ancestors and to visit Westminster Abbey where one of her ancestors is buried. Shirley enjoyed visiting many of her cousins across the United States.  She served as a missionary for five terms in the Genealogical Library in Salt Lake City.  She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.

A celebration of life will be held on March 17, 2018  at 1 pm in the chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 20370 82nd Avenue, Langley.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Shirley's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
