HARDING, STEVEN ROBERT

42, Langley, BC. It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of a dear brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and cousin who died October 22 at home. Steven was born on October 30, 1965 to parents Edwin and Lorraine (Trefry) Harding in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia where he grew up. He lived with his beloved aunt, Mary Lou Harding, of Waterloo, Ontario while completing his education at St. Judes School and then Conestoga College where he became a welder, a trade he was very passionate about. Steven resided in western Canada since 1990 and spent two years in Ottawa before moving to Langley. He was employed by the company, Tidy Tanks, at the time of his death. Special thanks to the people there who were like family to him. Steven was a very hard worker and spent many hours upgrading his education through numerous certification courses. He had his own welding business while in Salmo, B.C. and was also employed intermittently as a long distance trucker. Steven enjoyed nature, spending time with family and friends and working with his hands. He is survived by his sister Virginia (Mark) Boudreau, Yarmouth, brothers; William Harding, Ottawa, and Gregory (Rhonda) Harding Edmonton, Alberta, nephew and niece, Alex and Aislin Boudreau, Yarmouth, Maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Trefry, Yarmouth, and aunts, uncles and cousins in Nova Scotia, Ontario, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He was predeceased by both of his parents, as well as paternal grandparents Edgar and Helen Harding, maternal grandfather, Robert Trefry, uncle Malcolm Trefry and cousin, Richard Trefry. Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held at a later date followed by internet of the ashes at Our lady of Calvary Cemetery in Yarmouth. If desired, donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Lung Association, Learning Disabilities Association of Nova Scotia, or the local food bank.
