In Loving Memory ~

Susan Lynne Budden (Appleton) of Surrey fell asleep at Elim Village Care Facility on Sunday, December 31st, 2023 in her 73rd year and now rests until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Susan was a member of the Vancouver Christadelphian Ecclesia and was extremely dedicated to the service of the Lord. She was always happy to serve in whatever capacity she could, often providing the meals for ecclesial functions, teaching Sunday School or C.Y.C., or happily hosting anyone in need of a place to stay.

Susan provided care to many people in the community in her role as a Special Education Assistant for the Langley School District. She was extremely passionate about promoting inclusivity of people with unique needs. Often spending hours of her own personal time to make sure each child had their needs put first.

Born to Keith and Audrey Appleton on March 3rd, 1950 in Vancouver BC, she was the eldest of 6 children.

Beloved wife to Andrew Budden for 46 years and loving mother to Shaun (Jodie) Budden, and Jolene Budden. She was a caring Nana to Kylie and Jordan. She will be greatly missed by her family, after fighting a battle with Dementia as well as Lung Cancer.

She will be remembered fondly by her family and her brothers and sisters in Christ.

Susan's family would like to express their gratitude to the caring staff at Elim Village Full Care Facility for their exceptional care and love they provided to Susan and her family.

A Celebration of Susan's life will take place at the Vancouver Christadelphian Hall located at 15582 96 Ave, Surrey at 2:30 pm on Saturday, January 20th.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the Alzheimer's Society of BC or BC Cancer Society.
