April 27, 1952 - September 23, 2018
Thomas Smart Quinn, aka: Tommy, left our family on September 23rd, 2018.
He passed away peacefully under the care of Nurses and Doctor at the Langley Hospice Residence @ Langley Memorial Hospital, after an 8 year run with Renal Dialysis. He leaves his son, Thomas; daughter, Melanie (Biagio); Father, James W. Quinn; brothers, Maurice (Annabelle) and James; sister, Yvonne (William); 4 nephews; 2 nieces; 8 grandchildren; and many, many friends.
Dad was a light in anyone's day, and brought many, many smiles to faces of those who knew him, or just happen to come across his path. He was well known for saying Hello! to anyone and everyone. Tom loved watching soccer, football and hockey with his favorite teams being the Glasgow Celtic, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Philadelphia Flyers. In his day, Tom was a great soccer player himself and filled the ol' onion bag on a number of occasions.
Tom recently celebrated 30 years of sobriety. His famous phrase was "Hakuna Matata!"
Dad, you will be missed dearly. We love you, and yes, we know you love us more. Melanie and Thom xo.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
