In Loving Memory ~
A good life. A loving family. Good friends.
Verna left us suddenly just as she was finishing her morning walk. We mourn the loss of a beloved mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, aunt and dear friend to so many.
She delighted in the company of friends and family, a good meal, a great book, a game of cards or dominoes, shared laughter and a glass of wine and above all an invigorating walk with friends. Her baking was legendary. Her service to church and community was lifelong.
Predeceased by her much loved husband, Bruce and her dear son, Dennis.
She is survived by her cherished children, Linda and Greg Barnes and Russell and Dee Hickey, grandchildren, Karen and Ray Horne, Adam and Natalie Barnes, Rob Michaud, Rich Michaud and great-grandchildren, Spencer and Elliott Barnes and Jackson Horne.
A memorial gathering to say goodbye to Verna will be held on Sat, April 20, 2024 at 2 pm at Sharon United Church, 21562 Old Yale Rd, Langley BC.
Donations in her memory may be made to Langley Hospice or Ishtar Society.
The family wishes to thank Harrison Pointe for the many years of care and kindness.
We will miss her always.
