Viola (Bobbie) Fisher died peacefully with her family by her side on Fri., July 29th at the ‘young’ age of 92.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Diane (Vince), son Lorne (Tracy), daughter-in-law Henrietta, grandchildren: Jennifer (Tiny), Nathan, Robert (Laura), Jessica, Christopher (Jessica), Christian, Candice (Jamie), Dakota, Sandy, Sam, and 12 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her brother Raymond and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Viola is pre-deceased by her son Arthur, her brothers Harry & Cliff, her sisters Norma & Thelma, her niece Donna and her parents Henry & Flossie.

Mom was a single parent, raising 3 children in a time where there were few, if any, resources. For many years she worked evenings at home (book-keeping) to make extra money. She began her working career during the war at the Boeing plant. She then worked as a cosmetician at the downtown Woodwards until her retirement. Times were tough, but she provided a home for her family, and the various stray pets her children would bring home.

Mom was a voracious reader! After her retirement, she took up painting and her work is displayed in the homes of her family and friends. We are so proud of all that she has accomplished. Her true loves were her children and their spouses, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her special love was for her dog – Bows. How she loved that dog!

The family would like to thank Mom’s niece Colleen for her long-lasting care, love and devotion to Mom. Thank you Deeda! Our thanks also go to Judy Charlton, for her love and friendship to Mom over the years.

We would like to invite you to her celebration of life on Sat., Aug. 6th at 2-4 pm at the Henderson’s Langley Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Mom’s name to the Salvation Army.
