We saw Rob Ford on American television on March 3.
There was a B.C. woman who was denied entry into the U.S., and was barred for life, for admitting truthfully to the customs officials that she had smoked marijuana in the past.
Despite the fact she had done nothing criminal, she says she was questioned for six hours and her car was searched, and she was told she could never enter the U.S. again.
She owns a cabin in Washington State and her father is American, so she used to cross quite often.
Now she can cross the border only because she was granted an official waiver which cost her almost $600, and has to be renewed again each year.
Honesty was not the best policy for her.
However, Rob Ford, our fool Mayor of Toronto, an admitted drug taker – which is in all the newspapers and on television – has crossed the border into the United States!
He is on American television, talking about and being questioned about his drug use.
How did the U.S. Customs officials let him cross the border? An admitted drug taker, he is well documented to have issues with drugs, anger, and more.
Why wasn’t he turned back and barred entry into the U.S.? It would have been better for Canada, less of an embarrassment if he had been barred.
Where is the justice for the B.C. woman?
Where is the punishment for Rob Ford? Why does he not have to pay $600 a visit?
