Letter: Gridlock will detour Giants fans

Dear Editor,

I’m all for the Giants playing at the Langley Events Centre as I live about six blocks away.

However, the Township has to step up to the plate to make this work.

Both the intersections of 202A Street and 80th Avenue and 200th Street and 80th Avenue are the main exits from the arena.

There is such traffic gridlock there during the nearby R.E. Mountain Secondary traffic that I can only imagine 5,000 fans leaving a Giants game all at once.

I think fans will attend once and not return unless Langley Township comes up with a plan to fix this.

The road structure there is still just rural standards.
