Thank you to the Langley First Capital Chorus and the Langley Ukulele Ensemble for a most enjoyable Remembrance Day afternoon. Their concert, It’s Been a Long, Long Time, brought back memories of my mom and dad singing many of the tunes the chorus and ensemble presented.
Lily Marlene always reduces me to tears.
My dad and three of his brothers served in the army in the Second World War. Thankfully all returned (physically) unscathed.
