Dear Editor,

Recently I was taken to Langley Memorial Hospital by ambulance at 10 at night. I was in extreme pain. The Langley City fire crew and the ambulance were at my door within minutes of being called. I was assessed by both crews professionally and compassionately.

At the hospital I was triaged and many tests were ordered. Dr. C. R. Hoskins, all the nurses and the technicians were professional and attentive.

How thankful I am the hospital has a scanner and a technician available even in the middle of the night. I was eventually placed in the hallway. It was a typical busy January night in the ER. The doctor and the nurses stopped by frequently, providing meds to lessen my pain and to update me on the tests and their results.

My son and daughter-in-law stayed with me for the entire time I was in the ER which was very comforting.

Twelve hours later I went home with a diagnosis, medical follow-up, and confident in the excellent care I was given. A huge thank you to the Langley City fire crew, paramedics, nurses, Dr. Hoskins, the technicians, and my son and daughter-in-law.

A.B. Kennedy, Langley City
