Letter: Road markers an honour for pioneer family

I researched the Langley Times as it appears that you published an article regarding this.

You may know that Annette Fleming spearheaded a ‘150 project’ and proposal to the Langley Township to have this approved.

Annette is a descendant of the Holding family. My great grandfather was Nathaniel Larmon, who arrived from County Down in 1875 and received a land grant for property on 64 Avenue (the Medd Road).

His son and my grandfather, John Larmon, married Alice Medd whose mother was Anne Forsythe Holding.

My grandparents owned and lived on the Larmon farm all their lives. Their farm is situated on the corner of 64 Avenue and 216 Street. I just thought I would mention this to you as it is an honour for our family and it nice to see the mention of this in the Langley Times.

Al Larmon,

Victoria
