Letter: That other Langley letter writer should be censored

Township and City governance can’t be compared, one Langley resident writes.

Dear Editor:

I am surprised that you allow this man so much editorial space [Staunch contrast between City and Township council meetings, March 6 Letters, Langley Advance]

In his many writings, [Scott Thompson] consistently complains about most everything in the TOL, the mayor and council, the TOL staff, and most anyone else whose opinion is different than his.

His comments are often close to defamatory… and yet you publish?

He seems to like the City of Langley council…which is fine…but we must remember they have 1/5 the population of the TOL and and a minuscule amount of land area compared to the TOL.

Their concerns are much less complex. (Lucky for them!)

As far as Mr Thompson goes, his negative, deragatory and often offensive comments and his efforts to continually put others down… is essentially bullying.

Please edit out this bullying man’s comments in your newspapers, or it will appear that you encourage that type of behaviour?

This man is against development, against mayor and council, expresses hatred towards others in the TOL, and should be censored.

He is an avid supporter of Kim Richter, for mayor.

She is a person who opposes any forward thinking or any productive projects in the TOL, as evident in the live TOL council meetings.

She would not be a good mayor, with her obstructionist positions.

J. Jansen, Langley
