Dear Editor,
I was shocked to see a letter insinuating that legislation to allow assisted death was tantamount to first degree murder [Assisted death is first degree murder, May 26 Community Forum, Langley Advance].
Before publishing Ms. Cazes’ letter, I would have thought you would checked to see if she knew what she was talking about.
Does she have a legal background that would enable her to be able to corroborate this claim?
Remember the band Trooper’s song, We are here for a good time, not a long time?
So if my health deteriorates and I want to end my life, I should have that right.
This woman and her pals like MP Mark Warawa should just shut up and let our parliament do as the Supreme Court asked.
Yes, put in safeguards so that we don’t go off killing mother to get her estate.
I’m all for that, but don’t make it so difficult that the legislation gets so watered down that it becomes useless.
