Another season of Friday Night Hoops ready to tip off

Weekly league played out of Brookswood Secondary

Another season of Friday Night Hoops kicks off this Friday (April 11) at Brookswood Secondary.

The weekly league is for girls in Grades 3 to 7 and the sessions are designed to produce an environment that has players learn skills, have fun and be competitive.

It is run by Brookswood Bobcats coaches Chris Veale and Neil Brown as well as UBC alumni Linda Forsyth and members of the Bobcats program.

Graduates of the program have won a dozen provincial championships over the past 10 years, including the 2014 B.C. 3A girls title in March.

The camp runs weekly from April 11 to May 23 — except for April 18 — from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $70 and includes 60 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of game time. Each camper also gets a T-shirt.

The camp will be split into Grades 3-5 and Grades 6/7.

For more information, or to register, call Brown at 604-530-2141.
