Keenan Chanin hit for the cycle, including a walk-off triple in the bottom of the eighth inning, which scored Joel Cooper from first base as the Langley Blaze edged the Burnaby Bulldogs 6-5.

The senior men’s baseball teams were playing at McLeod Park on Thursday night.

Chanin had a single in the first inning, a double in the second and a home run in the fourth inning. He finished with five RBIs while going 4-for-5 at the dish.

Laszio Horvath had Langley’s other RBI.

On the mound, Ryan Eiswerth allowed four runs over six innings with Kristjan Storrie pitching the final two winnings, allowing one run.

The Blaze are 6-9 on the season but have won three of their past four games.

This was also their second consecutive victory as they struck for a season-high 12 runs on June 21 in a 12-3 victory over Burnaby Collegiate. That game was also at McLeod Park.

Dylan Rehmke led the offence with two hits and three RBIs while Riley MacDonald and Barry Caine each drove in a pair of runs.

Four Blaze pitchers took to the mound, combining to allow one earned run. They also struck out 10 Burnaby batters, with Jesse Peters striking out five in just two innings. Cooper Misic earned the win.

Langley is back in action on June 25 as they host the Everett Merchants at McLeod Park. Game times are 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
