The Langley Rivermen battled back from a two-goal deficit to earn a single point.

The Rivermen were in Chilliwack on Dec. 3 against the Mainland Division-leading Chiefs in junior A BCHL action with the home side winning 4-3 in double overtime

after Craig Puffer scored with the teams playing at 3-on-3.

Gage Torrel scored twice for Langley while Marcus Vela had the other marker. Vela also had an assist with Evan Anderson also finishing with a pair of helpers.

Bo Didur made 36 saves in the loss as Chilliwack outshot Langley 40-27.

The Rivermen survived being down two men for 31 seconds late in the second period, as well as killing off a pair of Chilliwack power plays in the final 6:13 of regulation.

Ryan Bowen, Tipper Higgins and Kurt Black had the other Chief goals.

With the point, Langley sits at 13-10-1-4 and their 31 points have them six back of Chilliwack.
