Two boxing matchups will see Langley fighters take to the ring between this month and March.
On Friday, Jan. 26, the 50th edition of the Clash at the Cascades boxing night will be held, after a six-month hiatus.
Organizer Dave Allison said there will be 10 bouts on the card for the evening.
The headliner will see Langley’s Cal Bennet square off against Elroy Fruto in a rematch.
Bragging rights to be known as best in the Lower Mainland will be at stake, along with a City Title in the 135 pound category.
Bennet won the first fight between the two in a close decision, Allison noted.
There will also be two heavyweight bouts in an eliminator for a B.C. title, including the return of Palvir Atwal of Bisla Martial Arts.
Other Langley fighters who will be putting on their gloves include Langley City Boxing’s Alex Veloz and Louri Saveliev of Revolution.
The doors for the event at the Coast Hotel and Convention Centre open at 7 p.m., with fights starting at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $40 and children 12 and under are admitted free.
In an upcoming boxing event, Langley’s Sarah Pucek will defend her North American Boxing Federation (NABF) championship, facing undefeated Myra Hernandez, who holds the American Midwest Champion title.
Hernandez won her last two fights by knockout.
Pucek is also the Canadian and Commonwealth champion.
On the same card in March will be Western Canadian Champion Alisha McPhee and Julian Kim. Aman Aujla will make his pro debut.
