The Trinity Western men’s hockey team put together its most complete effort of the season, controlling the game’s tempo and cruising to a 3-1 win over Victoria Friday at the Langley Events Centre.
The win improved TWU to 3-2 on the B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League season.
“It was a good 60 minutes,” said Spartans coach Barret Kropf.
“We played 55 minutes last week and 60 this week, so I’m really proud of the guys for those kinds of efforts."
The Spartans fell behind 1-0 in the first period but responded with the final three goals, two of which came on the power play.
PJ Buys, Jamey Kreller and Ryan Bakken had the goals.
Silas Mattyhs stopped 19 of the 20 shots for the win.
The Spartans are off until Nov. 6 when they host Eastern Washington.
