In a game which required double overtime, it was the visiting Chilliwack Chiefs taking home the extra point after Kaden Pickering scored 10 seconds into three-on-three hockey.
The Chiefs were at the George Preston Recreation Centre on Saturday night for the Langley Rivermen’s BCHL home debut.
Chilliwack won 5-4 in the battle of junior A hockey rivals, and also exacted a measure of revenge after Langley spoiled the Chiefs’ home debut, 2-1, the night before in Chilliwack.
With the results, the Rivermen sit at 1-0-0-2 on the young season.
