Former, current NHLers featured at Western Canada Sports Collectors Convention

With more than 200 vendors, event runs Nov. 17-19 at Langley Events Centre

Former and current National Hockey League players will be the featured guests at the upcoming Western Canada Sports Collectors Convention.

Part of the Western Canada Collectibles Experience, the convention runs Nov. 17 to 19 at Langley Events Centre (LEC).

The Edmonton Oilers’ Stanley Cup-winning goaltending tandem from the 1980s, Grant Fuhr and Bill Ranford, and Victoria brothers Geoff and Russ Courtnall, who skated together for the Vancouver Canucks, are among the esteemed guests, along with three-time Stanley Cup champion Chris Chelios and current Vancouver Canuck left winger Nils Hoglander, according to an LEC release.

The show begins on Friday, Nov. 17 from 2 to 8 p.m.; admission is $20.

The Western Canada Collectibles Experience also features more than 200 vendor tables with collectibles dealers and retail merchandise available from all eras. Both Upper Deck and Heritage Auctions will be on site.

Saturday’s hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a cost of $10, while the final days’ hours on Nov. 19 are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with no cost for admission.

Ages three and up require a ticket to attend the show, with autograph tickets to meet the guests sold separately.

Chelios, Fuhr and the Courtnalls will be Saturday’s guests, while Ranford and Hoglander will take the stage on Sunday, the release noted.

Langley Events Centre is located at 7888 200 St., Langley.
