The Vancouver Giants have added a new defenseman, Brennan Riddle, in exchange for forward Brad Morrison.

Left-hander Riddle is 6’2” and weighs 197 pounds, and has played in 216 career WHL games, with Prince Albert and Lethbridge.

He’s tallied five goals, 29 assists, and 167 penalty minutes during his time with the league.

In 37 games this year he’s scored once and added five assists.

Last season he registered four goals and 14 assists for 18 points in 71 games and added another goal and three assists in 20 playoff games.

“We’re excited to add a player of Brennan’s calibre and character to our organization,” said Giants general manager Glen Hanlon. “It’s always great to add more character and leadership to your hockey team and he will be an excellent mentor for our young defencemen.”
