Six Langley teens help win gold medal at Plzen Cup in Prague

Six local teens helped capture the gold medal in the Czech Republic.

Alex Walton, Jaydon Atkins, Fraser Lock, Kevin Craig, Jaxon Koch and Bryce Walton were part of the U15 Westcoast Express Ball Hockey Club which competed over June 10 to 12 in Prague at the Plzen Cup.

In the championship final, they defeated the host HBC Plzen 3-1.

Altogether, the team finished with a record of 6-0 against competition from the Czech Republic, Germany and Slovakia.

The players are part of the Valley Ball Hockey Association.
