Junior Bobcats continue winning ways

Three more victories for province’s top-ranked team from Langley’s Brookswood Secondary

Make it three more wins for the Brookswood Bobcats junior girls basketball team.

Fresh off winning a provincial qualifier tournament, the Bobcats took top spot at the Maple Ridge Kiwanis tourney this past weekend at Maple Ridge Secondary.

Quinn Jasper led the way with 19 points in the final, a 68-36 victory over the host Maple Ridge squad. Stephanie Robb and Lexis Knop chipped in with 16 and 10 points, respectively.

In the Bobcats’ other two games, they beat Enver Creek in round one, 52-26, behind a dozen points from Kate Staforelli and 10 apiece for Kelsey Lalonde and Knop, and 56-23 over GP Vanier, with Mackenzie Cox leading the offence with 16 points.

Brookswood is currently ranked No. 1 in the province.
