The Langley Junior Thunder are through to round two.

The Thunder scored a decisive 13-2 victory on Friday (July 12) at the Poco Rec Centre over the Port Coquitlam Saints in game two of their best-of-three B.C. Junior quarter-final series.

Langley won the first game 14-10.

In the second game, Tyler Glebe made 31 saves while Reegan Comeault, Johnny Pearson and Sean Lundstrom all notched hat tricks. Comeault also had four assists while Pearson had a pair of helpers and Lundstrom set up one goal.

The Thunder also got a big game from their leading scorer, Brett Dobray, who finished with five assists.

Nick Stone (two goals, one assist), Nathan Henare (one goal) and James Rahe (one goal) rounded out the scoring.

The Thunder were up 4-0 after one period and 10-2 after 40 minutes.

The series victory advances Langley to the league semifinals, a best-of-series, which begins Tuesday (July 16) against the New Westminster Junior Salmonbellies at Queen's Park.

The ’Bellies are the second seed and had a first-round bye.

Langley is the third seed.

Game two of the series is Thursday (July 18) at the Langley Events Centre.
