A three-game win streak has the Langley Junior Thunder climbing up the standings.
The junior A lacrosse team beat the Nanaimo Junior Timbermen 11-8 on Saturday at the Langley Events Centre and they finished the weekend with a 10-6 road win over the Burnaby Lakers at the Bill Copeland Arena.
The Thunder also edged the Lakers 6-5 last week (June 2) and now sit at 4-6 in the B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League.
The Lakers tied Sunday’s game at six midway through the third period but Langley scored four goals in the final 8:11 for the win.
Alex Gibbs had a goal and two helpers while Mitch McDole, Nathan McKeigan and Dylan Lacroix each had a goal and three helpers.
Christian Bosa led the offence the game before with a goal and three helpers.
The team will go for a fourth straight win on June 9 when they host New Westminster.

The Langley Intermediate A Thunder sit at 8-3 in the B.C. Intermediate Lacrosse League standings after losing 19-11 to Coquitlam on Tuesday night in Coquitlam.
The team will look to bounce back as they play in Victoria on June 11.

The Langley senior A Thunder are still searching for their first win after losing 9-8 to the Burnaby Lakers last week (June 1) at the Langley Events Centre.
The Thunder, who are 0-3 in the Western Lacrosse Association standings, are in Victoria on June 10 and then the next day in Nanaimo for a two-game road trip to Vancouver Island.
