Junior Thunder rally, but fall short

Langley battles back from three-goal deficit but loses in final minutes

After battling back from a three-goal deficit, the Langley Junior Thunder were 4:04 away from stretching their unbeaten streak to three games.

But the New Westminster Salmonbellies scored twice in the final minutes to leave the Langley Events Centre with a 9-8 victory in B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League action.

Langley had a win and a tie in their previous two outings and they now sit with a record of 3-9-2

Bryce Brochu led the offence with a hat trick and four points while Andrew Gresham scored twice and set up two others. Thomas Moffatt had a goal and two helpers while Jesse Worley chipped in with three assists. Dylan Lacroix and Connor Abrams had the other Langley goals.

Langley plays the Burnaby Lakers at the Bill Copeland Arena on June 14.
